Dr John White
Chairman
John has extensive experience in the leadership and strategic development of organisations in the engineering and manufacturing sector. John was chief executive of Transfield Defense Systems from 1988 to 1996 and then global chief executive of the recycling and packaging group, Visy Industries. He was subsequently managing director of the building products and hardware distribution group, Siddons Ramset until the successful takeover by Illinois Tool Works of USA. John holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom.
Robin E Tweedale MCIWM
Non Executive Director - Global Renewables (UK)
Robin has extensive experience in the United Kingdom waste management industry and is a former operations and managing director of UK Waste Management Limited (UKW). Robin has also held several other board positions, including joint venture director with Slough Heat and Power, supplying RDF to one of Europe's largest industrial estates and ran a bespoke glass reprocessing plant on behalf of United Glass. Latterly, he was also landfill director of Biffa Waste Services Limited, responsible for the commercial exploitation within a heavily regulated sector of the company and group managing director of Eddie Stobart Limited, a general haulier with a fleet of nearly 1,000 articulated vehicles.
Robin currently runs his own waste and recycling business in Manchester (JWS Waste and Recycling Services Limited) through a large Material Recycling Facility (MRF) and collection vehicles, achieving 80% diversion of materials away from landfill.
Cliff Lawrenson
GRD Group Chief Executive
Cliff joined GRD in 2004, prior to which he spent seven years with CMS Energy Corporation in the United States as Vice President Financial, Advisory and Strategic Planning. He has worked extensively in development and investment banking around the world, including in Australia and Singapore.
Cliff has served on several boards in international locations where he has lead the development and financing of numerous major infrastructure projects. Cliff holds postgraduate qualifications in commerce and finance.
David Singh
Managing Director
David has been intimately involved in the development of Global Renewables, having led the early investigations and development of the UR-3R Process®. David spent seven years with GRD Minproc, initially performing various project, construction and commission roles and later moving into a business development and corporate management role. David then transferred from GRD Minproc to Global Renewables to perform the role of Managing Director.
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Diploma in Finance from the Australian Securities Institute.
