GRD is assessing the many UR-3R™ opportunities throughout Asia, including in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand.

Global Renewables considers Asia to be a lucrative future market for the roll-out of UR-3R™ plants as it is anticipated that Asia's municipal solid waste generation will increase 3-7 per cent per annum due to population increases and changing consumption patterns arising from economic development and rising living standards. Further, in many of these Asian countries, the current waste disposal methods are not sustainable in the long term creating the need for these countries look towards alternative ways to manage their growing waste disposal problem. Global Renewables believes that its UR-3R™ technology will provide an attractive and sustainable waste treatment alternative for these countries.
